2022

The Maddermarket Theatre is now up and
running presenting a full programme from August 2021 and so it
seems that currently we are on track for our production of
Pirates to go ahead in May 2022. The dates are Wednesday 4 May
until Saturday 7 May.
There are two rehearsals prior to auditions, which are Tuesday 19 October and 26 October. These will be in the form of a sing-through to familiarise everyone with the show. Members will need to show their vaccine cards or have done negative lateral flow tests before each of these rehearsals. Own half time refreshments must be brought.
The Stage Director will be Keith Swetman who,
in between principal roles, last directed The Sorcerer in 2015.
Also, the committee is delighted to announce the appointment of
Susie Self as the MD for 'The Pirates of Penzance', our May 2022
show. Susie is an experienced professional singer, having
understudied major roles for the Royal Opera House Covent Garden,
Glyndebourne and Opera North. In 2002 she sang Katisha in The
Mikado for a season at The Savoy Theatre with the D'Oyly Carte Co.
Susie has since turned to composition and has had works
commissioned from all over the world, as well as being an
experienced conductor, studying under David Parry.
We are thrilled to have enlisted this wealth of experience and
musical knowledge. Susie is a huge G & S fan and says that she
is "really excited" to be the MD for 'Pirates'. Therefore think on
with unusual revelry as we will come back triumphant in 2022!
Auditions
Auditions will be held on Sunday, 31 October 2021 in Wroxham Church Hall starting at 2.00pm. This is the only available date, clear your diaries! Results will (hopefully) be available later that evening.
Scores and Libs
Scores and libs for all the G&S operas can

Most ENOS shows from 1992 to 2019 are now available to stream. They are hosted on Youtube and are unlisted which means they won't be found in a search. They can be found on the Shows Page.
Pirates
The society's 1994, 2003 and 2013 productions of Pirates are available here.
ENOS Youtube Channel contains some recordings done during and towards the end of lockdown.
